Class Description:
This class presents students with the knowledge, skills and attitude for the effective and safe use of a handgun.
This series of classes is designed for students who are interested in the use of a handgun for sporting or self-defense. Students will learn skills which are critical in target shooting, competition shooting or personal protection environments.
In Class 2, holsters, students concentrate on the various methods and safety considerations of drawing and presenting a handgun from a holster. Students will learn a four-step draw technique that emphasizes safety and utilizes the seven fundamentals to create a smooth presentation. This interactive class does not require any ammunition. It will utilize the BarrelBlok™ drop-in training system to ensure safety and realism during exercise to ensure there are no training scars. This class is a natural follow-up class for students who have successfully completed Handgun Skills Series – Class 1 – Fundamentals.
This training will benefit the new firearm owner as well as any experienced shooter interested in improving their shooting abilities.
Students will be taught in a compassionate and non-threatening environment.

Prerequisites:
Students should have a basic understanding of firearm safety and marksmanship. Students should be able to perform basic target shooting, safely unload and reload a semi-automatic handgun. Recommended for students who have successfully completed Handgun Skills Series – Class 1 – Fundamentals.

- Suitable semi-automatic handgun (prefer full size)
- Barrel Block device (available at DGM)
- 3 – 4 Magazines
- Magazine pouch
- Closed toe shoes
- Range appropriate attire
- Belt
Age Restriction:
The minimum age to attend this course is 15 years of age. A parent or guardian must accompany students under 18 years old.
